The MLS Series light duty shredder is designed for processing injection and extrusion mold startup purge.
It reduces material to approximately 1" to 4" when combined with a Colortronic granulator (stacked 2-
stage or in-line with conveyors), and output size can range from 1/8" to 1/2". The granulator can average
150% of its stated throughputs without heavy power consumption loads (typically seen when using a
granulator alone). The MLS Series standard features and benefits are listed below.
The MMS Series is designed for processing scrap from
wood industries—miscellaneous trim and panel scraps,
furniture, injection and extrusion mold startup purge,
heavy wall parts, paper and cardboard, and film (baled
and loose).
The MPS Series shredders have been developed for the size reduction of pipes up to 51" (1,300mm) in
diameter made from materials such as UPVC, PE, and PP. Pipes up to 29.5 ft (9 m) in length can be shredded
without the need for pre-cutting. The shredder is available with two rotor diameters (39"/56", 980mm/1430mm)
equipped with rotary cutters operating at low speed, ensuring smooth and efficient size reduction of pipes.
The MT500 Series offers superior quality and
performance with ease of accessibility. A safety
interlocked, rear access, hopper door provides hasslefree
cleanout and inspection, while the front hopper
access door completely opens up for quick and easy
maintenance with minimal downtime.
Colortronic MT Series Granulators are designed for continuous reclamation of skeletal web directly from the thermoform trim process. The MT Series offers more lineal inches of cut, more capacity, and less likelihood of plugging.

Colortronics fluff feed hoppers are designed to feed a percentage of the fluff directly back into the extruder throat to mix back in with the unprocessed materials.

The MSH 3200 Series is designed for heavy duty, high capacity granulation. Ideally suited for applications including heavy extruder purgings, blow molded flashings, thick sheet, pipe scrap, X-ray film, large capacity post consumer products, large blow molded parts (automotive, appliance, furniture, profiles), and packaging film.
Colortonic's VI edge trim conveying systems are used to convey edge trim to the film grinder.
Colortronic's FT Series agitated fluff storage tanks are designed with heavy-duty agitators, to handle your hardest-to-feed materials. FT Series agitated fluff storage tanks receive fluff from a film grinder.
Colortronic's fluff feed hoppers are designed to feed a percentage of the fluff directly back into the extruder throat. The unique dual-stage design ensures that the fluff is mixed with the virgin material above the extruder throat. Each auger is independently adjustable and can be set to follow the extruder screw speed by monitoring a tachometer signal from the extruder.
CGR Series film grinders are used to grind film scrap into small particles of fluff that can be combined with pelletized material and fed back into an extruder.
CGR2 HBD Series grinders use dual cutting chambers to reduce the fluff to a smaller particle size, providing a higher bulk density, which results in higher re-feed rates.
CTE fluff feed hoppers are designed to feed edge trim back into an extruder at a maximum rate of 20% of the extruder output.
Colortronic's fluff blowers and cyclone seperators are used to convey ground scrap to the fluff feed unit or storage tank.
