Colortronic's New MTG 1600 Series: Tough Enough for the Big Jobs

Flint, MI -Colortronic is pleased to introduce the MTG 1600 Series to its growing line of size reduction equipment. With cutting chamber sizes of 16" x 20", 16" x 28", and 16" x 40" and a cutting circle diameter of 16.5", the MTG 1600 provides excellent quality regrind for injection molding, blow molding or extrusion applications. A selection of reversible screens are also available with hole sizes of 1/4", 5/16&#quot, 3/8", and 5/8" to fit any application need.

Two bed knives and a three-blade open rotor with rotating end discs are standard with a selection of a 40° or 55° tip angle providing the best knife angle for specific applications. For quick and easy access to the bed knives, the MTG 1600 offers a top-access bed knife adjusting system.

For ease of maintenance, the screen and removable screen cradle pivot down, allowing complete and simplified access for thorough cleaning. A time delay safety switch is standard to interlock the hopper and screen chamber.
